The ingredients you need to make a deer stew for four people are the following:

400 grams of deer meat to cook.
300 grams of potatoes.
350 grams of laminated mushrooms.
1 medium onion.
200 milliliters of cooking cream.
4 tablespoons of old mustard.
100 milliliters of cognac or brandy.
1 bay leaf.
50 grams of butter.
2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Salt and pepper to taste.

Regarding the preparation of the Stroganoff-style deer stew with potatoes, you must follow the steps that we detail below:

We start by cutting the onion into thin julienne strips. Heat the oil together with the butter and brown the onion.
When it starts to get transparent, add the mushrooms and season. Stir a bit, leaving it on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Add them to the saucepan and let them cook for another five minutes, after which we add the diced or striped deer meat, depending on taste.
