Shipment

All this will make no sense if the tea does not arrive ideally at your house. Each tea is freshly packed in the best quality bags we have found. Three highly resistant layers separate your leaves from the outside to preserve maximum freshness and aroma. Each package is thermo-sealed to prevent leaks or the intrusion of foreign agents into your tea. KENNY VEGA – TEA SPECIALIST

TEA SOMMELIER

Kenny Vega, the founder of “Punto de Té,”,” is a certified tea sommelier, certified taster and member of the team of specialists at El Club del Té. An expert in high-end teas, he has been in the professional tea industry since 1999.

He is also part of the team of teachers at El Club del Té, along with Victoria Bisogno and Jane Pettigrew; he regularly teaches sommelier and tea taster courses, tea tastings, and introductory tea courses in Madrid and online.

He is directly in charge of product selection, sourcing, customer advice and training of our tea shop team.

THE WHIMS OF DESTINY

In our country, if you are of a certain age, you cannot have fallen in love with tea since you were a child. They were difficult times for this infusion. For most people, tea was a remedy for stomach ailments. Luckily, the new generations will not have this problem since it is part of our lives with a much higher status.

Kenny did not have a passion since he was a child, nor was there even contact with tea until, in 1997, pioneers in Aranjuez, his parents, carried out a dream to set up a tea shop from scratch. In this way, a meeting place for young and old arose, where they could listen to good music, read a book or chat over a cup of tea.

Kenny was always involved in the project; while studying and working for other companies, he supported the family business without realizing that this world would be part of him forever.

Years later, in 2011, mature enough to embark on a new stage, he decided to leave his profession as a computer scientist to dedicate himself entirely to the product that had managed to captivate him like no other, and thus “Punto de Té” was born. A different tea shop with an evident philosophy. The philosophy of life that has always characterized Kenny.

To do this, it was necessary to have the knowledge that he found within the Tea Club, a school where he continues to learn from the best professionals in the world. Today he is part of this great Club and can transmit, in addition to his great passion, the wisdom that the infinite world of tea contains.

Despite his schedule full of activities and courses, he loves to attend, explain the details, and pack the tea to each client and you will always find him in our store with a smile, ready to lend you a hand no matter how long you need.
